Invisible Lines starts collecting the collecting applications from your artists from across Europe and ends in 2022 with three exhibitions across Europe. This is the timeline of the project:

  • The deadline to send the application and the portfolio is 31st January 2021. For more information about how to apply visit the Call page
  • The final results of the jury evaluation will be communicated by the end of February

After the three workshops and starting in September 2021, the artworks produced during the workshops will be showcased in exhibitions throughout Europe, in the following comic book and illustration festivals:

Parallel to the workshops and exhibitions, Invisible Lines also organizes a cycle of public webinars and seminars aimed to artists and cultural operator, and a final conference in Venice which will host scholars and artists and their take on the invisible. The overview of these events is as follows:

  • Webinar focused on copyright in EU and international markets, held by Central Vapeur
  • Webinar focused on self-promotion for artists through digital media, held by Central Vapeur
  • October 2021: seminar focused on promotion of small publishers in international markets, organized by BAOBAB during its festival Tabook
  • April 2022: seminar focused on audience development for cultural operators and publishers, organized by Hamelin Associazione Culturale during the Bologna Childrens Book Fair
  • November 2021: international conference, held at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini in Venice, where scientific researchers and international artists will both be invited to contribute
